Biology, Ecology, And Management Of Western Juniper

This document represents a synthesis of what is known about the history, biology, ecology, and management of western juniper. We hope to dispel some of the myths, identify knowledge gaps, sort out some of the issues related to woodland expansion, and increase the overall understanding of western junipers place and function in the northern Great Basin. This synthesis will provide guidance for defining long-term goals, setting management priorities, and developing management plans and strategies related to western juniper.
