Pinyon-juniper woodlands are stewarded by many Tribes within the Intermountain region. The Pinyon Community Climate Action (PiCCA) Network is taking an interdisciplinary approach to pinyon-juniper management and restoration that uplifts Tribal and community voices to strengthen woodland resilience in the Eastern Sierras. In this session, we’ll hear presentations on Tribal stewardship efforts led by the Bishop Paiute, Big Pine Paiute, and Washoe Tribes. The presenters will join us for a panel at the end of the session.
